Chapter 10

The massive wild beast—a gray wolf named Wolberly—now stared silently at the cub before him, barely reaching his calf in height.
Dimension 12768 is a realm of advanced beast tribes, where the beasts typically appear only in their natural animal forms. Wolberly, as one of the strongest warriors of the gray wolf clan, had never before encountered a cub so insolent as to disrespect him in such a manner.
But that was not what truly mattered. What truly baffled him was how he could understand the language spoken by this cub before him.
In this advanced beast realm, the tribes possess a unique language and communication system, distinct from those of other life forms in different dimensions.
This unique linguistic system allowed them to flawlessly pass down their culture and history.
It was their unwavering dedication to the preservation of their lineage, an instinct deeply engraved in their very genes.
Wolberly’s gray wolf clan was the most resistant to foreign civilizations and life forms within Dimension 12768. They maintained their primal wildness and beast instincts, refusing to learn any outside languages or cultures.
Wolberly took another careful look at the cub. Without a doubt, this was not a cub of any tribe in their realm—it had to be an alien species.
He could not comprehend why he could understand this foreign tongue, but after a moment’s hesitation, Wolberly decided to abandon such thoughts.
They served no purpose.
Raising his paw, he prepared to crush the cub beneath it.
“No!!! Little one, move away quickly!!”
Not far off, Salvador’s face twisted in terror as he saw the wolf-shaped wild beast raise its sharp paw. He tried to intervene, shouting to warn the cub to flee.
But sadly, the cub still did not understand his words.
The tiny cub stood curiously beside the wolf-like beast, seemingly oblivious to the danger.
When the wild beast lifted its paw, the little one’s eyes sparkled with excitement as he gazed up at the massive wolf, as if ready to play.
The cub eagerly asked his system, “Tongtong, the furry one raised his paw! Is he playing with me?”
System 001 watched silently, his own system in disarray. He struggled to warn his host to escape, but the underlying logic of the Soldier King system constrained him, forbidding any escape guidance during the elimination match.
“…Tongtong?”
The cub, hearing no reply, tilted his head in confusion.
System 001 could only close his eyes in pain and respond with a trembling voice: “[…I am here.]”
The three-and-a-half-year-old child sensed the sorrow in System 001’s tone. Su You looked up blankly and said, “Tongtong, are you sad? If you are, then hug the furry one with Youyou! Whenever Youyou is sad, hugging Bear makes everything better!”
At that moment, Su You noticed Wolberly’s paw descending toward him. Yet he showed no fear of the furry claw, instead stretching out his tiny hands to embrace the gray wolf’s paw as it neared—almost as if demonstrating to the system how to hug the furry one.
Beside them, the half-orc warrior Salvador closed his eyes in anguish, unable to witness the cruel scene before him.
In the grandstand of the Universal Virtual Broadcast Sphere, the audience’s spiritual forms were already in a frenzy.

Makamaka was nearly screaming in place—No! The cub!
A cute, eye-catching cub with over 98% humanoid traits… capable of driving every spiritual viewer wild!
Makamaka felt this was turning into a live broadcast disaster. If this adorable cub was truly crushed by the wolf-like wild beast from Dimension 12768 during their live stream…
Makamaka was already calculating silently what level of defense attorney to hire, hoping to minimize his sentence in the cosmic prison.
Panic and screams spread throughout the Virtual Broadcast Sphere… until a crisp, soft, and adorable child’s voice rang out in the live feed from Channel 001.
“Tongtong, see? If you hug the furry one like this, you’ll be very happy!”
The joyful little one blinked his beautiful teal eyes and wrapped his small hands around the gray wolf’s paw before him—though it was no longer a paw with sharp claws, as the wild beast had retracted all its razor-sharp nails before contact. The cub clung to nothing but the soft, furry pads.
System 001: ?
Salvador: ??
Wolberly looked at the cub holding his right forepaw with utter confusion, sinking into silence.
What was happening?
Had he subconsciously thought the cub was one of his own kind, and so instinctively sheathed his claws to play?
Perhaps unable to believe what he had just done, Wolberly, after taking in the scene, raised his right forepaw again—this time revealing his lethal claws—and fiercely swiped toward the cub once more—
Inside the Virtual Broadcast Sphere, the audience’s spiritual forms, shattered by the terrifying earlier scene, reformed like clay slimes at Su You’s innocent childish voice.
Each reformed spirit fixed their gaze on the giant Screen 001 before them—What was happening? What on earth was going on?!
On the vast grasslands of Dimension 12768, Su You seemed to think the raised paw was playing a game with him, and he excitedly bounced up and down on the spot.
“Paw-paw!”
The happy little cub eagerly watched the paw lifted high, waiting for it to fall again.
Beside him, Salvador was dumbfounded.
The stunned half-orc warrior wanted to warn the cub to leave again, but recalling the earlier scene, he hesitated. If he warned the cub now, perhaps the cub would be safe. But the real problem might be the wild beast before him, whose temper could flare at any moment…
Why did Salvador call the wild beast about to lose its temper?
As the closest first-person viewer near the wild beast and the cub, Salvador was probably the only one to see what was truly happening.
Just moments ago, he saw the wolf-shaped wild beast retract its sharp claws the instant before striking, turning its threatening paw into a plush toy in the cub’s arms.
Not only that, Salvador also witnessed the wild beast deliberately slow the force of its paw as it neared the cub.

Salvador: ...
The reckless half-orc wanted to say that although his kind doted on their cubs, their rough nature made it hard to match the tender care this wild beast showed.
If Salvador hadn’t been certain the cub was not one of the wild beasts and hadn’t genuinely seen confusion in Wolberly’s eyes, he might have believed this was the beast’s exclusive affection for its own young.
Compared to the first time he saw the wild beast raise its paw against the cub, Salvador was now much calmer and more composed.
Sure enough, just like before, though the reason remained unclear, the wild beast clearly could not harm the frail cub—when the wolf’s paw swung down again, the scene replayed exactly as before.
Still stunned, Salvador watched the replay and pondered—Who was this cub? Why could even such a mighty wild beast submit to him?
To command the obedience of a wild beast like this… only a beast god could achieve such a feat, right?
When the words “beast god” flashed in his mind, Salvador suddenly recalled that during his recent escape, he had made some kind of wish to the beast god!
Beast god above!
Staring at the cub before him, Salvador was stunned—Could this be the beast god’s child, sent to save a poor, life-threatening believer like himself?

Unaware of the strange thoughts racing through the half-orc warrior’s mind, little Su You once again hugged Wolberly’s paw and even pressed his small face against it, carefully feeling the softness of the fur.
“So soft and nice!”
Perhaps emboldened by their repeated “play,” the little cub grew bolder still when facing the furry beast.
Though hugging the paw was delightful, the cub felt the wild beast’s tail looked bigger and softer. After nuzzling the paw, he looked up at Wolberly.
Then—
While Wolberly was frozen in place, the tiny cub quietly crept behind him and launched a fierce “You cub pounce” on the gray wolf’s tail.
System 001: ...
From the start, System 001 had no idea how to evaluate the bizarre scene unfolding before him.
But Su You clearly sought System 001’s praise. After successfully pouncing on Wolberly’s tail and rubbing his whole body against the large furry appendage, he blinked his big eyes and looked toward System 001, clearly expecting a compliment.
Watching Su You, the still-frozen Wolberly, and half-orc warrior Salvador, System 001 fell silent for two seconds before smiling gently and praising Su You in a warm voice—
“Youyou is amazing!”
