Chapter 7

The little cat, clutching a black card in her mouth, took advantage of Li Jingxing’s momentary distraction to slip out through the crack in the door. With swift little paws, she darted off, wandering about in search of someone.
The seventeenth floor was thrown into a subtle commotion by the arrival of this cat.
“Look, look! The young lady’s cat has escaped!”
“Does President Li know? Didn’t he just give her a tablet to watch cartoons?”
“Looks like she’s even carrying a card. Is that the business card from President Li’s office?”
“She’s running this way. Do you think I’d get in trouble if I pet her?”
“Aw, she looks so soft and touchable!”
The little cat circled around but couldn’t find Assistant Wang. In the end, she approached a young lady who had been sneakily watching her, trotting over and letting out a soft meow while holding the bank card in her mouth:
“Meow-wow.”
Sister, do you know where Assistant Wang is?
Secretary B, looking up at the solemn little cat meowing at her, was utterly charmed. She gently stroked the cat’s head, only to have the white kitten rise on tiptoes and nuzzle her face.
“Meow.”
I’m letting you pet me.
The kitten was quite generous in her invitation.
However, Secretary B’s attention soon shifted from the cat to the card the cat held. She glanced at it in shock, then pulled over Secretary A to see it. Secretary A took one look and gasped as well.
“Oh my, did you just take President Li’s card out?”
In the entire company, only President Li had such a black-gold card. Nobody knew where this bold little cat had found it and was now carrying it around. The secretarial staff tried to contact Assistant Wang just as he approached from the elevator side. Seeing the cat, he raised an eyebrow and quickened his pace.
“Assistant Wang, we were just about to find you. Could you check if this is President Li’s card?”
Assistant Wang looked down and met the kitten’s big, shiny eyes, who looked quite confident.
He nodded, “It is President Li’s card, but it’s currently for Little White’s use.”
He took the card from the cat’s mouth. “I’ll get the card’s appearance modified so you can carry it on your collar. Also, from now on, Little White will have two personal assistants to look after her daily life and safety when going out, and to manage her spending.”
As he spoke, Assistant Wang beckoned to two people behind him. They came up, smiling warmly at the little cat.
“Hello, Miss Little White~”
Hearing the title “Miss,” Assistant Wang twitched the corner of his mouth, wanting to laugh but holding back.
If people knew the true identity this cat bore, their company would probably top the hot search list for half a month.
The psychologist Assistant Wang had introduced to President Li before seemed to have been ignored. Now, it appeared the condition had worsened.
For some unknown reason, President Li had developed a compensatory affection toward Little White—so much so that even assistants were arranged for the cat.
What new plot was President Li spinning? Was the stand-in cat about to rise?
The kitten received the upgraded black card, firmly embedded in the center of her collar. She ran back and forth to confirm it wouldn’t fall off and was very pleased.
Turning to glance at the two people following her, she meowed:
“Meow-wow!”
Xiao Liu, Xiao Li, let’s go out shopping!
With that, the little cat dashed toward the elevator, and the two assistants hurried to keep up.
Meanwhile, Assistant Wang entered the president’s office, facing the president’s bewildered interrogation.
“Where’s that cat? The teacher is here. Where has she gone now?”
Assistant Wang: “Ah, um…”
He had completely forgotten about it.
What was he supposed to say now?
Your cat has skipped class and gone out shopping.

...
How should a suddenly wealthy cat spend her money?
Sai Sai was just as clueless. She wandered the streets with two assistants, unable to really enter a mall. The two humans couldn’t understand such complex cat commands.
Training humans was really troublesome.
The little cat strolled along and suddenly spotted a certain brand’s electronics store outside a mall, quite crowded inside.
Tilting her head, she watched for a moment at the door, then boldly pushed the glass door open with her head.
The two assistants, following her, quickly helped push the door wider.
Inside, the cat curiously looked around. Other customers couldn’t help but turn their gaze toward this cat.
No one had ever seen a cat accompanied by two bodyguards shopping in an electronics store. Judging by the scene, some even suspected the jeweled collar the cat wore might be real.
The kitten glanced left and right, noticing a group of elementary school kids crowded around a phone, intensely discussing something. Curious, she hopped onto a chair with a back paw and leaned in, trying to see what game they were playing.
The engrossed children didn’t notice when the fluffy little cat had squeezed in beside them. Just as they were deeply focused on the game, a loud meow suddenly rang out, and a small paw slapped down right in front of them.
“Meow!”
I almost had him!
The kitten was anxious.
She wished she could play for them.
The kids looked up and found the white cat rubbing heads with them, watching intently.
“Wow, it’s a kitty!”
They began petting the cat gently. Sai Sai didn’t resist much; the kids’ touches were light, like cautious human cubs, not like adults who would just reach out and pet aggressively.
“Was the kitty watching us play just now?”
“Can cats really understand games?”
The little cat listened to their questions, tapping her paw and nuzzling their heads, then squeezed into the crowd and pressed her paw on the phone.
“Look, she can play!” the kids exclaimed excitedly.
The kitten watched as the children opened the beginner tutorial and began teaching her how to operate.
Lowering her head, she studied attentively, her ears twitching. When the tutorial ended, the kids eagerly started a new game and looked expectantly at the kitten.
“Little White, go!”
The kitten gave them an exasperated glance.
Why do humans always do this, no matter their age? They see a white cat and just call her Little White. Even Li Jingxing, despite the stand-in filter, insisted on calling her that. It showed how harsh the naming environment for white cats was in human society.
The kitten focused intently on the phone screen. As the game began, she tried to charge forward with her paw but lacked the dexterity of human fingers. She was swiftly struck multiple times and hurriedly dodged.
The kids anxiously cheered, “Run, Little White! You’re basically feeding the enemy! Why do you keep rushing in?”
“You’re playing on my account; you’re going to get me reported!”
“That monster’s almost dead! Finish it off!”
“Hey, why did you run away? Little White, come on!”
Amid the kids’ sighs of regret, the kitten nervously twitched her ears, eyes wide, staring at the phone.
“Meow-wow.”
I’m trying to play, why won’t it respond?
She anxiously turned to the kids for help, only to hear their wails:

“Died again!”
The kitten: “...”
She tucked her paws in, letting out a guilty meow.
Seeing the kitten lower her head and curl her tail, the children reached out to gently pat her head in comfort.
“It’s okay, Little White. It’s your first time playing. You’re already doing great.”
“Yeah, I’ve never seen a cat play games before either.”
“Who says that? My cat can play; she’s great at Fruit Ninja.”
The kids started discussing cats’ gaming skills. The kitten jumped down from the table, still feeling a little downhearted.
The two assistants stepped forward and negotiated with the store clerk, who looked surprised at the cat. Then the two spoke to the cat:
“Miss, if you like this phone, shall we buy it for you?”
The kitten was inspired.
Buying the phone was not what mattered most—it was this game she had to get!
She approached the clerk and placed her paw on the phone.
“Meow!”
Pay up, cat style.
After some operation, the assistant placed the card reader near her. The cat leaned in and gave a beep. Payment successful.
The clerk was speechless.
No matter how many times, they were always amazed by the ways of the wealthy.
After buying the phone, the kitten watched as her assistants helped her set it up, then resumed her roaming around the store.
Almost everyone there watched the cat, some secretly snapping photos.
Just a moment ago, she had merely tapped the screen with her paw, and the bodyguards had the clerk wrap up the phone.
Moreover, the payment method was to lift the cat and swipe the card on her collar.
The cat’s owner had really embedded the card in the collar.
And these two bodyguards called her “Miss.”
Which wealthy family’s cat was this? Rich people were different— even their cats had bodyguards and payment cards.
The kitten’s eyes lit up as she saw a demonstration of a robotic vacuum cleaner. She ran over and jumped onto it as it passed by.
“Meow!”
I want this too!
The vacuum cleaner slowly moved forward with the cat on top. The assistants skillfully told the clerk,
“Put this on the bill as well.”
The clerk: “...Alright.”
Truly an eye-opening experience.
Over the next half hour, everyone watched as the cat went on a spree, curiously inspecting every electronic device and even buying phones for each child, matching their own.
The kids exclaimed with joy: “!!!”
What kind of divine kitty had descended upon the earth?
The children cheered enthusiastically. The two assistants also figured out how to register the game accounts, set up the young lady cat’s profiles, and added the kids as friends so they could play together in the future.
