Shi Zhaodi was so angry that he didn’t want to pay any more attention to Zou Kai. He thought Zou Kai was truly despicable and vile. Without another word, he packed up his bag and strode out of the classroom.

Zou Kai realized he had really provoked Shi Zhaodi this time. He rubbed his nose, slung his bag over his shoulder, and followed him out.

“Still mad?” Zou Kai called out from behind.

Shi Zhaodi ignored him and led his bike out of the parking shed.

“Hey, don’t be mad anymore. I’ll treat you to something to eat,” Zou Kai said, riding up beside him and shamelessly speaking up.

“I’m not hungry!” Shi Zhaodi replied, though he couldn’t help but respond despite wanting to ignore him.

“Then you treat me!” Zou Kai smiled slyly.

“Why should I treat you?” Shi Zhaodi turned his head, looking at Zou Kai with a hint of puzzlement.

“If you treat me, I’ll study seriously tomorrow,” Zou Kai offered reluctantly.

Shi Zhaodi remained silent, and Zou Kai began to feel frustrated.

“Whether or not you study is none of my business, you immature fool!” Shi Zhaodi snapped. Seeing the shocked look on Zou Kai’s face, a sly glint flashed in his eyes.

“Shi Zhaodi, you’re dead meat!” Zou Kai snapped back, gritting his teeth as he caught up behind him.

Shi Zhaodi just laughed, the gloom that had clouded his expression vanishing instantly as he happily pedaled toward the Jiang family’s home.

It turned out he had a streak of mischief deep down as well.

Once back at the Jiang residence, Shi Zhaodi, out of habit, carried his bag to Jiang Haosen’s room to do homework.

The moment Jiang Haosen saw him, he pulled him inside, took out a first aid kit, and began tugging at his clothes.

“Brother, it doesn’t hurt anymore,” Shi Zhaodi hurriedly tried to stop him, clutching his shirt.

“Time to change the dressing!” Jiang Haosen insisted, slow but determined.

Shi Zhaodi had no choice but to remove his school uniform, exposing half of his upper body.

Jiang Haosen carefully disinfected and reapplied the bandages.

Though Shi Zhaodi was still wincing in pain, he noticed the fine sweat beading on Jiang Haosen’s forehead.

He stared at him in a daze, then blurted out, “Brother, if someday we’re separated, will you still remember me?”

Jiang Haosen paused, looked up at Shi Zhaodi, and after a long moment, softly said, “We won’t be separated.”

Shi Zhaodi hadn’t expected that answer.

She stared at him blankly, so absorbed she didn’t even notice when he finished changing the dressing and straightened her clothes.

“Brother, I really like you. Even if we are separated one day, I’ll always like you,” Shi Zhaodi said earnestly.

Jiang Haosen had finished tending to him and looked at him again, repeating quietly, “We won’t be separated.”
