The security guards surged forward once more, pinning Yang Gaofeng to the ground and mercilessly beating him with fists and feet.

They broke both his legs.

“Aaah!” Yang Gaofeng lay on the floor, clutching his shattered limbs and howling in agony.

“Zheng, you bastard! You dare curry favor by having my legs broken? You’ve got guts!”

“I, Yang Gaofeng, swear I’ll wipe out your whole family!”

“And that one surnamed Ye, your family will die too!”

Yang Gaofeng flailed his arms, his face twisted in a ferocious snarl.

Ye Tianci spoke calmly, “Still so stubborn? Seems you haven’t had enough. Your hands can still move, I see.”

All the security guards looked to Zheng Qi for instructions.

Zheng Qi glared at them, “Why are you looking at me? What Mr. Ye says, I say too! Hit him some more!”

“Just leave him breathing!”

“Understood!”

The security guards, like a pack of starving wolves, descended upon Yang Gaofeng again, raining blows and kicks without mercy.

“Aah!!”

“Stop! I surrender!”

“Ow, I’m dying! My arms are broken! Sob, sob!”

...

Yang Gaofeng’s wails echoed without end.

A few minutes later, the security guards withdrew.

Yang Gaofeng lay limp on the ground, barely alive, his limbs uselessly sprawled like noodles.

He was breathing more out than in, truly left with only a sliver of life.

No longer arrogant, he couldn’t speak defiantly anymore, his face pressed to the floor, his eyes full of terror.

Ye Tianci looked down at him. “I told you to leave, but you wouldn’t. You insisted on crippling or killing me. Well, how does it feel now?”

Yang Gaofeng sobbed miserably, “I was wrong!”

“Please, don’t hit me anymore! Let me go, I’ll leave right now, alright?”

Ye Tianci’s lips curled faintly, his voice still calm. “You may go, but before you do, you must apologize to this lady.”

Only his neck could move, so Yang Gaofeng twisted his head to look at Aunt Li, crying as he apologized. “I’m sorry, I apologize. Please, be kind, say a word for me, let me go.”

Seeing Yang Gaofeng beaten nearly beyond recognition, Aunt Li was shaken. Summoning her courage, she turned to Ye Tianci. “Young man, let him go. Don’t let this turn fatal.”

“Stop pretending to be dead on the floor. Take your young master to his grandfather Qi Changling! Go!”

Ye Tianci barked coldly.

Several attendants scrambled to their feet, hurriedly carried the half-dead Yang Gaofeng, and fled in disgrace.

Ye Tianci walked up to Aunt Li. “Aunt Li, do you remember me?”

Aunt Li studied Ye Tianci, her expression changing. She spoke, astonished, “Are you... Little Tianci?”

Looking at the woman in her forties, Ye Tianci’s eyes grew warm, as if he were seeing his mother after years apart. “It’s me, Aunt Li. I’m not dead. I’ve come back!”

“It’s good you’re back! It’s good you’re back! Child, you suffered so much back then!”

Aunt Li was a woman of feeling, her eyes reddening.

Ye Tianci spoke in a deep voice, “Aunt Li, thank you for remembering me. I have never forgotten your kindness to me.”

“By the way, why are you here?”

“Come with me.”

Aunt Li led Ye Tianci to a convalescence room.

A man in his forties lay in bed, clearly paralyzed.

Seeing Aunt Li, he frowned. “Juanzi, I told you not to visit me. Why are you here again?”

Aunt Li, whose full name was Li Juan, placed a lunchbox at his bedside, her eyes tender. “You have no wife, I never married. Why shouldn’t I come see you?”

The man shook his head helplessly. “Juanzi, why do you go to such lengths?”

Though bedridden, he still carried an air of dignity.

Ye Tianci asked, puzzled, “Aunt Li, who is this?”

Li Juan answered forthrightly, “This is Brother Yuan Zhongyi, my savior. He also helped me build the Qingshan Welfare Institute.”

“Later, he was injured and paralyzed while saving me and my classmates, and he’s been this way ever since.”

“I wanted to marry him to repay his kindness, but he always refused.”

Ye Tianci looked at the man in bed. “Your name is Yuan Zhongyi?”

Yuan Zhongyi frowned, “Yes. Do you know me?”

“Not personally, but I’ve heard of you.”

Ye Tianci casually sent a message to Yuan Zhonghuang, then walked to Yuan Zhongyi’s bedside and reached for his legs.

“What are you doing?” Yuan Zhongyi’s expression grew tense.

“Little Tianci, don’t hurt Brother Yuan,” Li Juan said nervously.

Ye Tianci smiled gently. “Relax, I know some medicine. Maybe I can heal his legs.”

He squeezed Yuan Zhongyi’s legs, from ankles to thighs, then from waist to shoulders.

Ye Tianci spoke gravely, “When you saved someone, you plunged into an icy pool and stayed there for a long time, didn’t you?”

Yuan Zhongyi was astounded. “You could tell just by touching?”

“When you came out of the pool, you weren’t badly hurt, but you immediately fought with someone, exhausted your energy, and were poisoned, right?”

“You figured that out just by touching?” Yuan Zhongyi looked at Ye Tianci in disbelief, amazed.

Ye Tianci had Zheng Qi bring over a needle kit. He took nine silver needles and inserted them into nine vital points on Yuan Zhongyi’s legs.

“Nine Seas Unveiled!”

“Open!” Ye Tianci uttered in a low voice, fingers like a sword as he pressed Yuan Zhongyi’s Yongquan point.

A surge of vital energy flowed into Yuan Zhongyi’s body.

Immediately, Yuan Zhongyi felt warmth in his legs, numb for years.

“My legs feel something! My arms feel sore!”

Yuan Zhongyi exclaimed excitedly.

Soon, sensation returned to his limbs. Gritting his teeth, he pushed himself upright with his arms and slowly sat up!

Everyone in the room stared wide-eyed, unable to believe what they saw.

Yuan Zhongyi had been paralyzed for years; everyone knew it. The Yuan family had sought countless miracle doctors, but none could cure him. Yet Ye Tianci’s few needles had restored him?

Unbelievable!

Yuan Zhongyi slowly got out of bed, trembling as he stood.

Just then, Yuan Zhonghuang entered from outside.

Seeing the scene, he rushed forward, overwhelmed with excitement. “Mr. Ye, you cured my brother?”

Yuan Zhongyi beamed, “Brother, Mr. Ye healed my legs. I’m standing! I’m no longer a crippled invalid!”

Tears of joy streamed down Yuan Zhongyi’s face.

Yuan Zhonghuang dropped to his knees before Ye Tianci, with Yuan Zhongyi following suit.

Ye Tianci helped them up and turned to Li Juan. “Aunt Li, why did Yang Gaofeng bully you?”

“Yang Real Estate has its eye on the welfare institute’s land, so Yang Gaofeng has been using all sorts of methods to force me to sign,” Li Juan replied.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” Yuan Zhongyi reproached softly.

Li Juan sighed. “I thought they wouldn’t resort to force. Who knew the more I endured, the worse they became?”

Ye Tianci looked at Yuan Zhonghuang. “This Aunt Li is someone who once helped me. The Yang family is using the Qi family’s influence to try to take her welfare institute. I want the Yang family to pay!”

“Mr. Ye, do you mean—?”

“Destroy the Qi family. The Yangs will be the first sacrifice.”

Ye Tianci’s gaze was cold.

Yuan Zhonghuang’s eyes gleamed. “Sir, I’ll be your blade! Wherever you point, I’ll strike!”

“How well do you know the Yang family?” Ye Tianci asked.

Yuan Zhonghuang replied, “The Yangs are a second-rate family in Shucheng. Their main business is real estate, but they also own hotels, nightclubs, and business centers.”

Ye Tianci narrowed his eyes slightly. “Tonight, the Yangs will be the first sacrifice. Get ready.”

Yuan Zhonghuang hurried off to make preparations.

Tang Qiong, itching for action, whispered, “Master, should I mobilize some people to assist?”
