Chapter One Hundred: Ghost Island Continent
(Page 1/3)
That day at noon, Gu Sha was at a research institute, discussing matters with a group of scientific researchers.
To be precise, Gu Sha was providing some experiential knowledge from his previous life, essentially presenting conjectures—such as concepts of super armor and restricted weapons.
In the later era, the official side had made extremely obvious progress in technology. At present, the only weapons capable of threatening a War King were mutual-destruction-style nuclear weapons. But in the later era, things were different—many portable weapons had emerged that could equally deal with powerful supernaturals. Of course, the official side primarily used those weapons to deal with zombies and beast zombies.
And the concept Gu Sha proposed was precisely the direction those later-era scientists had spent years searching for, which was researching supernaturals' abilities themselves.
Gu Sha didn't actually understand much, but he knew some foundational things. For human scientists who were still essentially at the pioneering stage, the conjectures and theories Gu Sha presented were far too advanced.
However, because Gu Sha was so busy, his time each day was almost scheduled down to the minute. Supernaturals who received Gu Sha's guidance would take far fewer detours. The infrastructure experts who had benefited from Gu Sha's pointers were years ahead in their infrastructural thinking. As for scientific researchers, there was no need to even mention them—the intermediate Qi Introduction Formula and the already half-finished spatial bags were the most direct proof.
At this point in time, within the J City Wall, Gu Sha was like Tang Sanzang entering the Kingdom of Women—people from every department followed him around all day with drool dripping from their mouths. Every morning when he got up and opened his door, he could see a large group of academicians and professors lying in front of his doorstep, unwilling to waste even a single minute.
At first, many people had objections to Gu Sha's enjoyment of vast resources for a single individual, but they were forcibly suppressed by the First Elder. Just a few days later, the tide had turned—those who had previously opposed Gu Sha enjoying such abundant resources had completely changed their tune. They wished they could put Gu Sha on a pedestal, even wishing they could pee for him so he wouldn't have to.
In the laboratory, Gu Sha was watching a group of researchers working on the spatial bags when a soldier came in and said, "Mr. Gu, President Han is here."
Gu Sha immediately followed him out.

Han Ze was waiting outside. Seeing Gu Sha come out, he hurried over and asked, "God of Slaughter, how's it going?"
"The spatial bag research is progressing fairly smoothly. All I did was provide a concept and a direction—these scientists really are impressive." Gu Sha said.
Han Ze burst into laughter and said, "Hah, it's just those spatial-ability supernaturals—ha-ha, every single one of them is practically being driven crazy by those scientists. Last night, one of my team members was even complaining to me, saying he used to be proud of having the spatial ability, but now he deeply regrets it!"
Gu Sha said, "There's no help for it. To research spatial bags, we have to reference the characteristics of spatial abilities. And spatial-ability supernaturals are too few, and it just so happens a few of them are in J City. If we don't grab hold of them for research, what else are we supposed to do?"
Han Ze smiled and said, "The Infrastructure Department went running to the Elders today to kick up a fuss, saying you only agree to work a few hours a day, and the time allocated to their department is far too little."
Gu Sha sighed helplessly. "There's no helping it. My primary job is still cultivation, you know. I can't just give up most of my time and not cultivate—I'm the First Sequence. In terms of importance, whether it's Military Industry, Infrastructure, or Scientific Research, none of them are more important than me."
Han Ze nodded. "That's what the Elders think as well. Your matters do take priority. Ah, today's corpse cores and mutant bones have also been delivered. But the number of mutant bones is really too few, and they're very hard to obtain. From here on out, they'll probably only get scarcer."
Gu Sha nodded in understanding.
He was indeed occupying an enormous amount of resources, but the official side couldn't possibly allocate all resources to one person. They had to consider the importance of the First Sequence, but they also had to consider the issue of resource distribution. So many soldiers were fighting tooth and nail on the front lines—it was impossible to allocate them no resources at all.
The two of them chatted while getting into a car.
Soon, they arrived at the Cabinet Building and came to the First Elder's office.
Today, however, the First Elder wasn't alone—several Elders were all present.
"Respected leaders, Mr. Gu has arrived." Han Ze walked in and reported.
"Please, invite him in." The First Elder said.
A short moment later, Gu Sha walked in and greeted the Elders.
During this period, he had come into contact with all the high-level figures within the J City Wall and had grown quite familiar with them.
"Gu Sha, you're here."
The First Elder gestured for Gu Sha to sit down, then handed him a bottle of soda.

Ever since witnessing Gu Sha's flamboyant, unrefined way of drinking tea, the First Elder had never again offered Gu Sha tea. Every time, he would prepare some soda that Gu Sha liked in advance.
"Honorable Elders, the reason you called me here today—has the global conference been decided?" Gu Sha asked.
During this period, Gu Sha knew perfectly well what these Elders had been doing. Their main work was negotiating with the Federation government to convene a global conference. The significance of this conference was immense, because the information that Gu Sha and Mad Blade had brought out from the dimensional space was far too horrifying—a global conference absolutely had to be convened to discuss countermeasures.
However, not to mention the present era of the apocalypse, even before the apocalypse, convening a global conference was no simple or easy matter. So these Elders had been extremely busy during this period as well.
Yet the First Elder said, "The global conference can't be held. Or rather, it can't be held for the time being. Even if it were to be held, I'm afraid it wouldn't be scheduled in our Dragon Continent."
"What do you mean?" Gu Sha was puzzled.
One of the Elders said, "Gu Sha, you probably haven't browsed the global forum today, have you?"
"No, I haven't. What's going on?" Gu Sha asked.
The First Elder sighed and said, "Our Dragon Continent was the first to enter the dimensional space and successfully come out, and you and Mad Blade also brought back information about the universe and the Tianyuan Realm—that was the original intention behind the global conference and the fundamental purpose for convening it. But now, someone has overturned the information you and Mad Blade brought out?"
"Overturned?" Gu Sha asked, confused. "This isn't some scientific research theory of mine—what's there to overturn?"
"It's Ghost Island Continent," one of the Elders said. "Previously, we had already notified the Federation government of the news about the Tianyuan Realm and proposed a plan to destroy all dimensional spaces. But Ghost Island Continent suddenly went public on the global forum yesterday, fully disclosing the existence of dimensional spaces, and claimed that our Dragon Continent harbors ulterior motives. Because the dimensional spaces they explored have absolutely no threat whatsoever and contain abundant resources, they accuse our Dragon Continent of acting out of selfish motives, deliberately deceiving humanity worldwide. They've even claimed that your First Sequence status is fake—that it's a conspiracy our Dragon Continent has been executing in order to dominate the globe!"
Gu Sha frowned and said, "Is that the Ghost Island Continent that's always having earthquakes?"
"Yes."
"Damn it. A place the size of a speck of dirt, and it's still this cocky. It ought to just sink straight into the sea!"
