Mad Blade was deeply depressed.

He felt as though he had fallen out of favor. The big shot had actually been lured away by someone else.

According to his plan, he and the big shot should have been on the same plane bound for Ghost Island Continent.

Yet in the end, two beautiful female Transcendents had whisked Gu Sha onto another aircraft.

Inside the plane, Mad Blade sat there with a resentful expression, muttering, “Those two women are shameless. Look at how scantily dressed they are. They clearly aren’t decent people. So what if they have long legs and big chests? They’re Transcendents, yet all they think about is using crooked tricks. The big shot is still too young and easily deceived!”

One of his subordinates said softly, “Brother Blade, I get the feeling that the God of Slaughter is quite willing…”

“Ridiculous! Could the big shot possibly be that kind of person?” Mad Blade retorted. “He’s merely too good-natured and doesn’t know how to refuse. That’s why those two women dragged him onto their plane.”

The subordinate fell silent.

“The big shot must be miserable right now. I know him very well. He’s innocent, while those two women are clearly seasoned players in the pleasure quarters. The big shot definitely won’t be able to handle them.” Mad Blade’s face was filled with worry.

“No, that’s not it,” the subordinate said. “Brother Blade, someone posted pictures in the group. The God of Slaughter looks pretty happy to me!”

Mad Blade looked at the phone.

In the photograph, Gu Sha was lying asleep across the lap of one female Transcendent while the other massaged him. The three of them appeared to be getting along perfectly well.

“No, this won’t do. I have to warn the big shot. He absolutely mustn’t let himself be bewitched by those two vixens.”

Mad Blade immediately called Gu Sha.

“Sorry, the number you have dialed is temporarily unavailable.”

The subordinate said, “Why don’t we forget it, Brother Blade? The God of Slaughter may not want you disturbing him right now.”

Mad Blade’s voice grew solemn. “Impossible. The big shot and I have the closest relationship. How could two women possibly shake the bond forged through all the slaughter we’ve shared? We’ve fought side by side. We’re brothers who have entrusted our lives to each other. He isn’t answering because the signal must be bad. I’ll send him a message!”

Mad Blade immediately sent Gu Sha a private message.

A red exclamation mark appeared on the screen.

You are not friends with this person yet!

The subordinate said, “Brother Blade, let it go. Brothers are like limbs, and women are like clothing. Clothing always covers the limbs anyway…”

Mad Blade fell silent.

“The big shot isn’t that kind of person!”

Dragon Continent was several thousand kilometers from Ghost Island Continent in a straight line. Before the apocalypse, an extended-range fighter aircraft could have reached Ghost Island Continent in three or four hours at most. But the world was different now.

The plane flew through the sky, constantly altering its course to avoid attacks from the flying zombie beasts along the way.

Fortunately, this group included eleven of the most powerful Transcendents of the era. The weakest among them was already a Fifth-Order Transcendent, while the strongest—Gu Sha—needed no explanation. He was the foremost figure in an age of overwhelming dominance.

Although the journey was somewhat turbulent, they still managed to reach the skies outside Fortress D, the foremost stronghold of Ghost Island Continent, after only a day.

However, when the Dragon Continent delegation contacted the officials of Fortress D and requested permission to fly directly inside, they were refused.

The reason given was that a report had been received claiming the delegation was carrying nuclear weapons and intended to cause trouble. They would have to undergo inspection before being allowed through. The delegation was ordered to stop one hundred kilometers outside the fortress.

The members of the delegation immediately opened a group call.

“What do we do now, big shot?” Mad Blade asked over the intercom.

One of the delegation’s senior officials said, “We just checked. The safe zone around Fortress D barely extends ten kilometers beyond the city. Anything a hundred kilometers out is a disaster zone.”

Gu Sha pondered for a moment. “So Ghost Island Continent is deliberately making things difficult for us? Damn it. Looks like life has been too comfortable for those islanders!”

“That’s already obvious,” one of the Transcendents said.

At that moment, dozens of fighter jets emerged from Fortress D. Using the language of Ghost Island Continent, they issued a warning:

“Aircraft from Dragon Continent, this is Fortress D of Ghost Island Continent. You have entered restricted airspace without authorization. Leave immediately, or we will take compulsory action.”

Gu Sha could not understand the islanders’ language. He scratched his ear and asked, “What the hell are they babbling about?”

A translator from the delegation quickly explained the message to him.

Gu Sha calmly said, “All of you stay in the air for a while. In a moment, we’ll make them kneel and beg us to enter.”

With that, Gu Sha transferred the people aboard his aircraft to another plane.

Then he switched the aircraft to autopilot and steered it straight toward the air force formation from Ghost Island Continent.

The delegation and the Transcendent squad grew somewhat anxious, repeatedly shouting for Gu Sha not to act recklessly.

Gu Sha opened the cabin door, vaulted out, and flew directly onto the top of the aircraft, standing against the wind.

His outfit was simple: a black tracksuit and a large backpack. A Tang blade was stored inside the pack, making him look rather like a student.

The aircraft was moving at tremendous speed, yet Gu Sha stood perfectly steady. His hair did not even become disheveled.

When they reached a point ten kilometers outside Fortress D, the fighter jets from Ghost Island Continent began issuing warnings again.

Gu Sha ignored them completely.

Boom!

As the Dragon Continent aircraft drew near, a fighter jet from Ghost Island Continent launched a rocket first. Its target was the lead aircraft—the one carrying Gu Sha.

“Go to hell!”

Gu Sha merely extended a hand.

The rocket suddenly halted in midair, then rapidly reversed direction at astonishing speed and struck a fighter jet directly.

With a deafening boom, the fighter jet exploded.

At the same time, Gu Sha pulled several grenades from his backpack and hurled them toward the fighters of Ghost Island Continent. Every throw found its mark. Each grenade blew a fighter out of the sky.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Gigantic fireworks erupted across the heavens as wreckage scattered in every direction.

The fighter jet beneath Gu Sha’s feet effortlessly charged into the enemy formation.

In the next instant, Gu Sha stamped down. The fighter beneath him veered off course and slammed into another aircraft from Ghost Island Continent.

With another tremendous explosion, the two planes collided and detonated.

Gu Sha, however, soared into the air.

He drew the Tang blade from his backhand, and the power of its inscriptions erupted. The blade radiated dazzling golden light. As Gu Sha brought it down, it transformed into a gigantic blade dozens of meters long and instantly cleaved a fighter jet from the sky.

After that, Gu Sha began hacking wildly through the air.

In less than three minutes, all twenty or thirty fighter jets from Ghost Island Continent had exploded.

The sight left the senior officers in the military command center of Fortress D utterly dumbfounded. They were still trying to devise their next response when Gu Sha had already descended from the sky and landed atop the fortress wall.

With a single sweep of his Tang blade, he slaughtered a large group of soldiers from Ghost Island Continent.

Then Gu Sha said coldly, “Since you’ve had your fill of comfortable days, you can all go to hell!”

With that, Gu Sha stamped his foot.

Terrifying energy erupted. The fortress wall instantly began collapsing in a frenzy, sending massive waves of rubble rolling outward like an earth-shattering landslide.

With a single step, a huge section of the fortress wall collapsed, leaving a breach more than a hundred meters wide.
